The Quimica project is located in the district of "Sants", north-west of Barcelona and about 600 m from Plaça d'Espanya. The client, Barcelona City Council (Generalitat de BCN) wanted to convert this space into an area dedicated to social activities, including events, exhibitions, conferences.  

​The building is conceived in two floors with on the ground floor a large multipurpose space with mobile walls, and the upper floor is dedicated in offices. 

The mean materials used are wood and reinforced concrete. Wood is used in vertical elements in order to create a better visual impact and consider the important of sustainability. Natural lighting is a key aspect in this project.
